Miranda Lambert leads the way in ACM Award nominations for Winstock ’18 artists

The Academy of Country Music (ACM) announced nominations this morning for the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards, Country Music’s Party of the Year, honoring country music’s superstars and hottest emerging talent.

With four nominations, reigning (ACM) Female Vocalist of the Year and Winstock Country Music Festival 2018 25th anniversary headliner, Miranda Lambert received her twelfth nod for Female Vocalist of the Year. If she wins, it will be her ninth consecutive win in this category. She is the current record holder for most consecutive wins in the Female Vocalist of the Year category. Miranda is currently tied for the winningest artist in ACM history with 29 awards along with Brooks & Dunn (Winstock ’09). This year, Lambert is also nominated twice, both as artist and songwriter, in the Song of The Year category for “Tin Man,” and for Video of the Year for “We Should Be Friends.”

Winstock’s Friday night headliner Dierks Bentley has received a nomination for Video of the Year for his hit “Black,” and Brothers Osborne, performing prior to Bentley Friday night, received nominations for Vocal Duo of the Year and Video of the Year for “It Ain’t My Fault.”

Hot newcomers LANCO, performing at Winstock Saturday at 2:35 p.m., received nominations for Vocal Group of the Year and also New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year. Luke Combs, taking the Winstock stage Saturday at 6:45 p.m., received a nomination for New Male Vocalist of the Year.

Multimedia superstar and sixteen-time ACM Award winner Reba McEntire (Winstock ’08) will return to host the awards show from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 15, at 7 p.m. on the CBS Television Network. This year’s show will mark Reba’s fifteenth time hosting the ceremony, last appearing in 2012.

These artists will be joined at Winstock’s 25th anniversary celebration June 8-9 in Winsted by Billy Currington, Neal McCoy, Sawyer Brown, Walker Hayes, Trick Pony, Jordan Davis, Jake McVey, Maiden Dixie, Mitch Gordon and the Unleaded Band, and Jake Nelson.
